We are living in an extraordinary and unprecedented time. Even a month ago we couldn’t have imagined the world and life would be at the point it is now.
It’s a difficult time for all of us, and we understand that many of you booked on trips in the coming season will have lots of questions and concerns about what is happening with regards your holiday plans in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
With a rapidly evolving situation, we are constantly monitoring advice from the UK government, as well as global and local health authorities, to make decisions on upcoming trips. At this point, with no trips scheduled in the next 50 days, and none of us knowing how long this situation will last, or what things will look like in a few days, never mind a week’s or month’s time, we are not currently making the decision to cancel any of our trips.
Clearly this is something we will revise if necessary as and when advice changes, and we will keep you updated as quickly as we can. Our decisions will be focused on ensuring we maintain the wellbeing, safety and security of all of you, our guests, as well as our guides, accommodation suppliers, and the communities we stay in and travel through.
At the moment our standard booking terms and conditions apply. However, if there is continued advice against travel or severe restrictions on movement within a country, we will postpone or cancel trips as required and offer alternatives including a transfer of monies already paid to an alternative date this season or next, a holding of your deposit or payment as credit for a future trip, or a full refund. We will always aim to be as flexible as possible, and we hope our guests will still want to join us on their trips in the future if they end up having to be temporarily postponed or cancelled.
We are a small, relatively new business, facing big decisions and a very turbulent time ahead, and are grateful for your patience, understanding and support as we look to navigate the company through this difficult time, and sustain it both in the immediate and long term future. There are tough times ahead for all of us. Stay safe, look after each other, follow local and national advice, and we hope we will see you before too long to ride bikes together again.
If you would like to speak to us about your trip or have any other questions please get in touch.
